BRANDON KEYS Sports Editor Sweetwater opened camp this week with a
new attitude. The opening practices have been filled with an up-tempo
approach. Wildcat head coach Craig Moser really wants this year's
team to focus on improving together. "We want hard work from these
guys and they're doing it. We need to be more aggressive, and we're
getting that way thanks to an up-tempo practice," said Moser.
Players will be working on different
drills this week, as they prepare for a Friday night scrimmage with
Austin East High School. That game will be no easy task but Moser
said, "I want to see how we do against a solid team." The coaching
staff will be looking for positives and things to work after the
game, as the season is right around the corner. The Sweetwater
coaching staff has seen their fair share of football though, and
should be prepared. See full story in the Wednesday, August 1, edition of The Advocate & Democrat.
