MADISONVILLE-A confession that Jessica
Kennedy's attorney tried to have suppressed will be allowed in the
trial set for Aug. 13.
Kennedy is charged in the July 2010
death of Monroe County businessman and election commissioner Jim
Miller. Miller's burning car was found with him inside off Sands
Road. He had been shot several times.
Kennedy told officers in a November
2010 interview that she was the one who pulled trigger and killed
Miller, but was that just one of 11 stories she told. Still, the
prosecution wanted to present that confession during trial, but
defense attorney John Eldridge was strongly opposed. See full story in the Wednesday, August 1, edition of The Advocate & Democrat.
