Judge: Kennedy 'confession' allowed in trial

MADISONVILLE-A confession that Jessica Kennedy's attorney tried to have suppressed will be allowed in the trial set for Aug. 13.

Kennedy is charged in the July 2010 death of Monroe County businessman and election commissioner Jim Miller. Miller's burning car was found with him inside off Sands Road. He had been shot several times.

Kennedy told officers in a November 2010 interview that she was the one who pulled trigger and killed Miller, but was that just one of 11 stories she told. Still, the prosecution wanted to present that confession during trial, but defense attorney John Eldridge was strongly opposed.
