MADISONVILLE-The jail has been certified by the state for another year and the County Commission can't agree where to put a new one, but Monroe County Mayor Tim Yates is keeping up the good fight by seeking out new locations.

In a brief, sparsely attended Justice Committee meeting Thursday evening, Yates said there are three new locations to consider and that it appears the owner of the Food Lion building has come way down on his asking price.
