MADISONVILLE-A man who burned down a
house after robbing it in January had all of his 13-year combined
sentence suspended.
But he has to pay the homeowner $43,500
for the damage he caused.
Grant George Briggs, 36, Highway 39
West, Athens, pleaded guilty in Monroe County Criminal Court to
charges of Arson, aggravated burglary and theft less than $500.

Conway Mason worked the case and said Briggs entered the home owned
