MADISONVILLE-Four people charged in the
March death of a Vonore area man have had a motion hearing set for
Oct. 26, but it is highly unlikely they will go to trial before next
year.
Lorenz Freeman, 24, Vonore, Coty Smith,
25, Highway 411, Madisonville, Joshua Steele, 24, Smoky Branch Road,
and Jessica Payne, 20, Maryville, are all facing charges of felony
murder in the death of Luther Vineyard, 53, at his home on Smoky
Branch Road. They all were also indicted on two counts of aggravated
