Explosive threat

MADISONVILLE-A Madisonville street was shut down late Tuesday night after a suspected explosive was found in a bottle at a house.

Officer Adam Russell said he went to Edgewood Street just before 11 p.m. to talk with Andrew Jacob Stewart about someone breaking into his house.

While investigating the case, Russell said Stewart told him his roommate had allowed some young men into the house recently who were bragging about setting fires. One of the men reportedly brought in a bottle with blue liquid in it, saying it was what they used to start fires.
