BRANDON KEYS Sports Editor Luke Bibee isn't your normal 9-year-old. His schedule includes more than snacks and video games. He can't
play soccer with his friends or sing in the choir at church because
of his busy schedule. What he can do is a labor of love.
When he's not practicing four times a
week at Tataru's Gymnastics' in Knoxville, Bibee competes all
season long. This year included trips to Cincinnati, Ohio,
Birmingham, Ala., and Long Beach, Calif. The closest of his meets is
located in Sevierville.
This season
culminated in Bibee bringing home three medals from the Junior
Olympics Trampoline and Tumbling National Championships. He won one
gold for tumbling and two bronze: one for the double mini and the
other trampoline.
