SWEETWATER-It appears the City of
Sweetwater will have a storm alert warning system in the near future.
During Monday night's July meeting,
Commissioners Julian Walton, Sam Moser, Ed Lee, Billy "Buster" West and Bill Stockton gave approval to Mayor Doyle Lowe's request to
enter into a contract with Delta Alert.
However, commissioners gave permission
contingent upon clarification and changing of some wording in the
contract with Delta Alert.
A representative from Delta Alert
during last week's workshop had promised to give the city its money
back if they did not like the $2,950 a year system. See full story in the Sunday, July 8, edition of The Advocate & Democrat.
