MADISONVILLE-It's not a major county
election, but the polls for a couple of local elections and a handful
of state races open on July 13 with early voting for the Aug. 2
election.
The early voting will last until July
28 and mainly be held at the Election Commission Office in
Madisonville, but Monroe County Election Commission Administrator
James Brown has set up four satellite dates for people who might not
be able to make it to Madisonville. "We want to make sure that everybody
who wants to vote, can vote," Brown said. "We think these four
dates, combined with the office in Madisonville, will do that." See full story in the Sunday, July 8, edition of The Advocate & Democrat.
