Due to the strong winds and thunderstorms that entered the area
around midnight on Sunday, Fort Loudoun Electric Cooperative experienced substantial damage across
its service area. At the peak of the
outages early Monday morning there were approximately 2,700 members without power. As of Monday
afternoon, power has been restored to all but 457 members. FLEC, with the aid of neighboring
utilities and contract crews, continues to work around the clock to restore the electricity.
