PUBLIC NOTICE TO ALL TELLICO PLAINS

WATER DEPARTMENT CUSTOMERS

Each year the  Tellico Plains Water Department will publish for its customers a water quality report. This is done to assure our customers that its drinking water is safe and meets the requirements set out by the Environmental Protection Agency. Watch for this report during the week of May 16, 2012.

Complying with the U.S.Congress 1996 Safe Drinking Water Act.

INVITATION TO BID

The Monroe County Finance Department invites sealed bids for the following bids as authorized by the Monroe County Board of Commissioners & the  Monroe County Board of Education.

BID CGD00766-05-12 for Property, Casualty, Liability, & Worker's Comp. Insurance for the Monroe County Schools & Monroe County Government.

BID BOE00775-05-12 for the Refinishing of Gym Floors for Sequoyah, Sweetwater, & Tellico High Schools for the Monroe County Board of Education.

Sealed bids will be accepted until 10:00 a.m. (EST), local time prevailing, May 24, 2012 at which time the Monroe County Purchasing Committee will meet to publicly open and read the bids. Bid packets may be picked up at the Monroe County Finance Department, 103 College Street South, Madisonville, TN 37354. All bids shall be sent to the Monroe County Finance Department, 103 College Street South, Ste 9, Madisonville, TN 37354.

Bids will be awarded accordingly as prescribed by law, which states "Lowest and Best", A Supreme Court ruling states that the discerning of best lies on those requesting the bids and not on the bidder. The right is also reserved to refuse any all bids.
