Wanda Louise Watts of Athens, went home to be with our Lord, 12:05 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2013 at Athens Regional Medical Center. Native of Monroe County and a longtime resident of McMinn County, she joins in Heaven her grandson, Austin Peak and parents, D.W. and Abbie Gibson Moses. Wanda was much loved by all who had the privilege of knowing her and will be greatly missed.
She was 65.
Survivors include: her daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Brad Lane of Athens;
Sons and daughter-in-law, Ronnie Peak and Rex Peak, both of Madisonville and Chris and Jenna Peak of Athens;
12 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren;
Sisters and brother-in-law, Josie Bearfield of Madisonville and Debra and John Cate of Athens;
Brothers and sisters-in-law, J.B. and Geniva Moses, Roy and Bea Moses, and Billy and Loita Moses, all of Madisonville;
Several nieces and nephews.
Funeral 8 p.m. Friday at Biereley-Hale Chapel, with Brother Brad Lane and Rev. Gale Miller officiating. Interment 11 a.m. Saturday at Notchey Creek Cemetery. Receiving friends 6-8 p.m. Friday at Biereley-Hale Funeral Home, Madisonville.
