Leon Brummett of the Belltown
Community, Tellico Plains, passed away Wednesday, June 5, at his home. He was born Feb. 7, 1948,
enjoyed going to car shows with his brother, Charles. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in
the Vietnam War.
He was 65.
death by: parents, Luther and Nancy Gregory Brummett; and great-granddaughter, Jaylen.
Survivors include: wife-Ruby Davis Brummett;
and son-in-law-Tammy and Bengy Shaw;
Son and daughter-in-law-Randy and
Sandra Brummett, all of Tellico Plains;
spouse-Maranda Cole, Derek Cole and Bradley and Gretchen Thompson;
Step-grandchildren-Nicky West, Whitney Roberts, Emily Shaw and Eli Shaw;
brothers-in-law-Mary and Ulis Duncan, Helen Ruth Gourley, Bertha and Roger Bivens and Bernice
Brothers and sisters-in-law-Charles and Karen Brummett and
Larry and Linda Brummett.
Funeral services will be 8 p.m., Saturday, in
Biereley-Hale Chapel with Rev. Gennis Best officiating. Interment will be 2 p.m., Sunday, in Cane
Creek Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m., before services. Biereley-Hale Funeral
Home, Tellico Plains, in charge of arrangements.
