Geraldine Ada Sterling Melton

Geraldine Ada Sterling Melton of Bristol, formerly of Sweetwater, departed this life to be with the Lord on Feb. 10, after a long illness.

She was 74.

Preceded in death by: mother, Pearl Williams; and husband, Marvin T. Melton Sr.

She leaves to cherish her life and memory, her children and spouses: Paul Eugene and Karen Melton of Knoxville; Marvin Thompson and Regina Melton Jr. of Dallas; Thomas Leroy Melton of Sweetwater; and Kaytheleen Elaine and Eddie Blevins of Bristol;

Grandchildren-Christopher and wife, Chelsea Melton, Natasha Else and Morgan Melton, all of Dallas; Alana Melton and Aidan Melton of Knoxville; and Sydney Blevins and Sakota Blevins of Bristol;

Great-grandson-Jayven Melton of Sweetwater;

And a host of other relatives.

Funeral services will be Monday, Feb. 18, at noon at the Sweetwater Bible Church with Rev. James Upton officiating. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m.-noon, at the church. Interment will follow at Sweetwater Memorial Gardens in Sweetwater. M.D. Dotson and Sons Funeral Home, Athens, in charge of arrangements.
