Bernerd Cole

Bernerd Cole of Homboldt County, Calif., went to be with the Lord, Jan. 22. He was 80 years old. He worked as a millwright for Arcata Redwood Company in California for 25 years and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was born in Tellico Plains to the late Ferd and Sina Mae Cole and he spent the majority of his life in Humboldt County, Calif. and loved the sheer beauty of nature around him.

Preceded in death by: sister, Judy; and son, Kenneth Dewayne Cole.

He was the beloved father of Diann Ribar, Lynne Fritschi, Karen Elizabeth Cole and Dina Ruth Cole; and stepfather to Vickie Potoski-Pease.

Siblings surviving include: Barbara Lewis, Betty Tipton, Shelby Belcher, Wanda Cobb, Shirley Millsaps, Norman Cole and Mike Cole;

As well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He was liked and loved by many and we will miss him dearly.

We can be comforted because of God’s promise to us, that he is at peace with our Lord Jesus Christ.
