Charles J. Welshan

Charles J. Welshan of Maryville, passed away at home Sunday,
Feb. 3, with his family by his side. Charles retired from Alcoa Aluminum
Company. He was a former veteran and loved the outdoors and enjoyed camping and
fishing. He attended Antioch Baptist Church.
He was 81.
Preceded in death by: father, Frank Welshan; mother, Novella
(Blair) Welshan; brothers, Clifford, Hoyle, Lee Anzel and Lewis Welshan;
sisters, Essie Durance and Nazrine Rayfield.
Survivors include: his beloved wife of 60 years-Juanita
(Kagley) Welshan;
Son-Dennis Welshan; sons and daughters-in-law, Danny and
Betty Welshan, David and Marilyn Welshan;
Daughters and sons-in-law-Janet and Steve Blair and Lesa and
Dallas Stevens;
Grandchildren-Jason, Chancey, Sandra and Charlsie Welshan,
Jessica and Bethany Blair, Kayla Stevens, Robyn Crowe and Ashley Odom;
Great-grandchildren-Emily Welshan and Addie and Lydia Crowe;
Sister-Mary Sue Gray of California.
The family would like to thank all family and friends for the
love and support through the last several months. A special thanks to the
following family and friends: Sheila Welshan, Archie Clark, Jeanette Best,
Charlotte Powell and Lucille and Buford Dewitt.
Funeral services will be at 8 p.m., Wednesday in McCammon-Ammons-Click
Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dean Bandy and Rev. Rex Everett officiating. The
interment will be at 11 a.m., Thursday at New Providence Primitive Baptist
Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Wednesday at
McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made
to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1818, Memphis, TN 38101.
