Robert “Bob” Carroll of Sweetwater, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 30. He was employed at Langdale Forest Products and Transport Service as a truck driver for 25 years. He was previously employed as a police officer with Monroe County Police Dept. and a fireman for the Madisonville Fire Dept.

He was 60.

Preceded in death by: daughter, Katherine Elizabeth Carroll; parents, Jesse Wilson Carroll Jr. and Rubye Mae Mason Carroll.

Survivors include: daughters and son-in-law-Kristen Carroll of Chattanooga; Jessica and Nick Plemons and Allison Carroll, all of Sweetwater;

Grandchildren-J.T. Loden, Lyndsey Loden, Kaleigh Loden and Tylan Jay Plemons;

Sisters and brothers-in-law-Gerry and Nick Emmons of Selmer; Nancy and Mike Taylor of Knoxville; and Diane Whitehead of Rocky Mount, N.C.;

Best friend-Lisa Hill of Sweetwater;

Lots of nieces and nephews.

The body is at Kyker Funeral Home, Sweetwater, where the family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 2 with funeral services following in Kyker’s Chapel with Rev. Roger Fairman officiating. Family and friends will meet at 2 p.m., Sunday in Highland Memorial Park on Sutherland Avenue, Knoxville for a graveside and interment. Kyker Funeral Home, Sweetwater, in charge of arrangements.
