Ernest Steve Moore

Ernest Steve Moore of Lenoir City, passed away Monday, Jan. 28, after a courageous battle with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis. He retired from Bell South after 32 years of service. Steve was an avid fisherman, loved NASCAR and was a Dale Earnhardt fan. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and son.

He was 71.

Preceded in death by: his father, Ernest "Boat" Moore.

Survivors include: his wife of 52 years-Jan Moore;

Daughter-Sheila Moore Scarfo of Lenoir City, formerly of Sweetwater;

Son-Tony Moore of Los Angeles;

Grandchildren-Nicolette, Matthew, Olivia and Elisabeth Scarfo;

Mother-Dora Woody Moore; and

Sister-Joyce Wilson of Sweetwater.

The family will receive friends from 5-7:30 p.m., Thursday at Click Funeral Home in Lenoir City with funeral services to follow at 7:30 p.m. Family and friends will gather at 11 a.m., Friday in the Paint Rock Cemetery for graveside services with Rev. Rod Garrett officiating. Click Funeral Home, Lenoir City is in charge of arrangements.
