Don K. Frye

Don K. Frye of Tellico Plains, passed away at 4 a.m.,
Tuesday, Jan. 29, at his home. Don
was raised at and attended Center Presbyterian Church. He was a veteran of the
U.S. Air Force, a retired truck driver for Stokely Van Camp and was a pioneer
and lifelong supporter of the Tellico/North Carolina Wagon Train. He participated on every wagon train
since it began.
He was 70.
Survivors include: wife-Judy Frye;
Sons and daughters-in-law-Barry and Lanetta Frye and Bryan
“Jeno” and Eva Frye, all of Tellico Plains;
Grandchildren-Barrett, Sage and Cameron Frye;
Step-grandchildren-Wesley and Kevin Stallcup and Tara and
Leslie Shankle;
Great-grandchildren-Caroline Frye, Shelbie, Jacob, Kylee and
Caden Stallcup;
Sisters and brother-in-law-Joan and Pete Garrett of
Madisonville; Sue Chambers of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; and Linda Phillips of
Maryville;
Several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 8 p.m., Thursday, in Biereley-Hale
Chapel, with Rev. B.J. Wall officiating.
Interment will be 11 a.m., Friday, in Center Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6-8
p.m., before the service Thursday. Biereley-Hale Funeral Home, Tellico Plains.
