Mary Jo Pettit Lowe

Mary Jo Pettit Lowe of Mohawk, passed away Sunday afternoon,
Jan. 13, at U.T. Medical Center in Knoxville. She was retired from the Greene
County School System and was a member of Mt. Hope United Methodist Church.
She was 80.
Survivors include: two sons and daughters-in-law-Victor and
Betty Lowe of Russellville; and Vance and Reeca Lowe of Vonore;
Two grandsons-Stacy Kinsler and Chad Lowe and his wife,
Erica, all of Russellville;
One great-granddaughter-Riayn Kinsler of Russellville;
One sister-Shelba Ramirez;
One sister-in-law-Lucille Kirk;
Several nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by: her husband, Henry R. Lowe Jr., who
died Nov. 4, 2006; parents, Paul and Josie Smith Pettit.
The funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m., Thursday at
Mt. Hope United Methodist Church. The Rev. Ron Matthews and the Rev. A. C.
Cobble will officiate. Interment will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery. The family
will receive friends from 4-8 p. m. on Wednesday at Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home,
Greeneville.
The family would like to express their appreciation to the
ICU staff at U.T. Medical Center and Takoma Regional Hospital.
