Edwin R. McCulloch

Edwin R. McCulloch of Vonore, passed away at 5
p.m., Saturday, Nov. 10, at his home. He was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist
Church. He proudly served in the U.S. Army as a sergeant in World War II. He
served in the 2nd Armored Division under
General George Patton and fought in seven major battles in the European Theatre
and received the Bronze Star. He was a member of Vonore Masonic Lodge #658.
He was 92.
Preceded in death by: daughter, Ruby Diann
McCulloch Beaty; parents, Joseph Asberry and Sally Hicks McCulloch; brother,
Glenn Ross McCulloch.
Survivors include: wife of 73 years-Nora
Williams McCulloch;
Sons and daughters-in-law-Larry Williams and
Carol McCulloch of Madisonville; Edwin Lamar and Sue McCulloch of Seymour;
Grandchildren-Michael and Sonja McCulloch of
Knoxville; Kathy and Brian Smith of Vonore; Chris and Lorie McCulloch of
Greenback;
Great-grandchildren-Joshua Martin, Jesse
McCulloch and Casey McCulloch.
Funeral services will be 7 p.m., Monday, in
Biereley-Hale Chapel, with Rev. Dennis Robinson and Rev. Norman Arp
officiating. Interment will be 11 a.m., Tuesday, in Haven Hill Memorial Gardens
with military honors provided by V.F.W. Gold Star Post 5156 and D.A.V. Chapter
93. Family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Monday at Biereley-Hale Funeral Home,
Madisonville.
