Helen Sue Sheffield Shaw

Helen Sue Sheffield Shaw of Tellico Plains, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, Oct. 9, at an Athens healthcare facility. Helen was a retired seamstress from Eureka Manufacturing and was known for her joy of fishing and spending time in the outdoors.

She was 76.

Preceded in death by: husband, Worth Robert Shaw Sr.; parents, John P. and Fina Tilley Sheffield; son, Joseph Farrell Wallace; and sister, Johnnie Hughes.

Survivors include: children-John "Skip" Davis and wife Renah of Riceville;

Daughter-Victoria Payne and husband, Jimmy of Tellico Plains;

Grandchildren-Rachel Gunter and husband Brian, Brian, Brandon, Rebecca and Justin Davis;

Great-grandchildren-Hannah Reed and Shelby Nicole Gunter and Nicole, Brooke, Amber, Alexis, Chaz and Dakota Davis;

Several nieces and nephews and extended family also survive.

A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 11 in the Coker Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Drew Freich officiating. Ralph Buckner Funeral Home of Etowah, in charge of arrangements.
